La Chinata Sweet Smoked Paprika is produced in the La Vera DOP region in Extremadura, using the Jaranda variety of peppers that have been grown in one of the 52 villages. The peppers are smoked by the growers before being sent to the factory where they are ground in ancient stone mills. This coarse ground pimentón is smoky with a pleasant warmth and distinctive colour. This is a versatile ingredient and can be used on meat, vegetables, sauces, stews and paella.
